Death and funerals

Sorry to have been away from my blog for so long.

After suffering the sudden tragic death of my 20 year old nephew in late September things have been very difficult.

While the rest of my family and friends cling to "he's with the angels and our Lord now and at peace"...I know what the Catholic Church has always taught about those who die unbaptized and outside the Church. There is little comfort for me in those words.

While I have Masses said for him and pray for his soul, I can't help but feel my failure. I took time for granted with him, I thought I would have more time to reach him with the Faith. I did not have that time. I have to live with that. It's a horrid lesson to learn, but one now written deeply within my own soul that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This morning I attended another funeral and will be attending yet another funeral Mass this evening. Two in one day.

Death seems to have a foothold around here lately and all I am doing is going from one funeral to another.

What doesn't seem to change is that people want so desperately to believe that when a person dies, they are suddenly perfect and worthy of Heaven merely because they died. Didn't matter how they lived their lives, death in its self seems to make a person worthy of Heaven is the theology too many people cling to.

Who started this nonsensical idea? Must have been the devil himself.

In Christ and still in mourning,

EWTN Press Release on HHS Mandate Revisions

EWTN Statement On Today’s HHS Mandate Revisions

Irondale, AL (EWTN) – The following is a statement by Michael P. Warsaw, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of EWTN Global Catholic Network on the October 6th announcement of revised rules for the HHS Mandate:

“For more than five years, the HHS contraception mandate has forced Americans to violate their deeply held moral and ethical principles, without regard for the Constitution's guarantee of religious liberty. EWTN filed a lawsuit against the government in February 2012, just days after the mandate rules were first published and we have have continued to fight for justice alongside many courageous believers. We are encouraged by today’s announcement.

“Together with our legal team, we are carefully considering the exemptions announced today and the impact this may have on our legal challenge to the mandate, but we are optimistic that this news will prove to be a step toward victory for the fundamental freedoms of many Americans.

“I invite Catholics, and all people of faith, to join me in continued prayer for our nation, for its leaders, and for the protection of liberty in the United States, and around the world.”

Lonely: I pray for someone

I came across two stories on Twitter recently about lonely people.

The first was about an elderly woman who sat alone in her house for years after much of her friends and family had died. She lived in fear and loneliness, until one day she wrote a letter to a woman that she didn't know who lived on the same street as her. A desperate act to reach out to another human being for companionship, and made a good friend.

The story was heart breaking.
Quote (in part): "This past spring, Marleen Brooks, a 37-year-old property manager in the small town of Park Hills, Mo., came home to find a handwritten letter from a 90-year-old woman she had never met.
It was just a few lines:
'Would you consider to become my friend. I’m 90 years old — live alone and all my friends have passed away. I am so lonesome and scared. Please — I pray for some one.'
As Brooks read the letter, her eyes teared up. Her own grandmother, who had raised her, had died alone in hospice, which still bothered her. The letter-writer, Wanda Mills, had left an address — a house across the street and a couple of doors down. “I literally, honestly didn’t know anybody lived there,” said Brooks, who has lived on the street for a year and a half.
The next day, she and a friend brought cupcakes to Mills.
“She was excited that we came over there, and we sat and talked for about an hour,” Brooks recalled. Mills, who has trouble walking and uses oxygen, told her that she hadn’t left her house in seven years and relies on caregivers who come daily. But they weren’t the same as having friends.
Mills had lived in the house for 51 years. Her husband and sister had died, as had one of her sons. Another son lived out of state. It turned out that a third son lived next door but didn’t visit often, she told Brooks.
Loneliness and isolation have been shown to have detrimental effects on health, leaving people more vulnerable to infection, cognitive decline and depression. An AARP survey found more than one third of older Americans to be lonely."
I have always had a great love for the elderly, having grown up with ALL my great-grandparents, grandparents and great aunts and uncles who were all very close. We saw each other weekly for much of my childhood and when that didn't happen, we wrote letters and sent cards. Cards for special occasions and those "just thinking of you" type cards. As the years went by and my elderly family members passed away we found my cards and letters saved in drawers bundled together with elastic bands. They had saved them over the years. I now have those cards and letters and look upon them fondly. I miss having those elderly people in my life and writing those letters and spending time at the store picking out just the right card to send that I thought would put a smile on their face.

With today's technology of instant email connections and Facebook posts, I wonder how many elderly get any physical "snail mail" that they can hold and save for years in bundles with elastic bands. How many children and grandchildren today spend time at the store picking out just the right card to bring a bit of happiness and joy to an elderly person in their life? Breaks my heart to think the numbers are quite few.

Today I saw yet another article about lonely people on Twitter. This time it wasn't about just the elderly, but all ages.

People are watching videos of other people eating while they eat so that they can feel less alone during meals. Another is watching Harry Potter movies because the characters "feel like a family". Another made up an imaginary boyfriend to talk to when she's lonely.

All this social media instantly available globally and yet people seem lonelier now than ever before.

I wish these lonely people would think about the elderly. Read that article about Wanda Mills the elderly woman desperate to make a friend. They wouldn't be so lonely if they remembered our elderly and made the smallest effort to reach out to them.

What a difference every person could make if they reached out to ONE elderly person!

There are many "senior pen-pal" type organizations out there, the one mentioned in the first article above Pen Pals for Seniors Facebook Page, and Become a Pen-Pal to a Senior to name just two.

Another option is reaching out to a elderly person or couple in your neighborhood. Send them a card for no other reason than to say "hi" and you're thinking of them.

You can also reach out to a local assisted living community and ask if there are any people there who never get mail and would like to.

What about the elderly in your parish?

Perhaps you could start a program getting children in your parish to reach out to the elderly with cards, pictures they draw and letters?

Take a look around you and really see the elderly in your life, parishes and communities. They are lonely and depressed needing a simple greeting card to make their day and bring them great joy!

For less than the price of a cup of coffee you could bring happiness to a lonely human being nearing the end of their life living in isolation and loneliness. A simple act of decent human kindness goes a long way.

Church Militant under attack for speaking the Truth

What a weekend on social media!

Fr. James Martin just can't stop playing the victim...he loves the attention it gets him.

I wrote about this Saturday in my posts: Church Militant is so mean! and Fr. James Martin on men kissing men at Mass

The snowball continued gaining speed on social media as the battled heated up between Church Militant and Fr. James Martin and his groupies.

For the quick lowdown, check out Michael Voris from Church Militant on his Vortex episode today ...

Voris: "Holy Cow did social media ever blow up this weekend, involving the heresy-preaching, pro-sodomy priest Fr. James Martin and Church Militant. Late Friday, Church Militant broke the story that the seminary at Catholic University of America had canceled Martin's speaking event at an upcoming event the first weekend of October. That started it. The priest blamed Church Militant, in part, for the cancellation and started whining about it on Twitter. His allies in the Associated Press and other secular media came screaming to his defense. Church Establishment types — like Fox News consultant and Cdl. (Timothy) Dolan mouthpiece Fr. Jonathan Morris — came out of the woodwork, accusing Church Militant of being "demonic," and the rest is history. And all of this since just Friday night. Clearly, Church Militant has kicked the hornet's nest of homosexuality in the clergy." [clipped for length]
Voris continues by throwing down a challenge to Fr. James Martin and Fr. Jonathan Morris and even Cardinal Dolan!
Voris: "So, since Fr. Martin and his followers think Church Militant is evil and rotten and mean and judgmental, we'd like to extend an official invitation to Fr. Martin to publicly debate his position about homosexuality any time, any place. Surely with the backing of such prominent homosexualist princes of the Church, as well as celebrity priests in love with themselves, judging from their rather unpriestly photos on their Facebook page, the pro-sodomy priest should relish the opportunity to slam Church Militant in person and before a packed house with cameras rolling.
How about it Father? You talk a good game. Let's talk it out in front of God and everyone. You think the Church is wrong like so many other clergy, and we think it's right. A little throwdown should settle this once and for all, right? And for all those deluded followers of his, you should be encouraging your pro-gay hero to take up the challenge."
"Perhaps Cdl. Dolan could even sponsor the debate, and it's perfectly acceptable to us if His Eminence wants to sit in the pro-gay corner. We'd expect nothing less. So, let's have a great big dose of that transparency that so many leaders in the Church never stop rambling on about. Let's dialogue. Stop all the name calling, right? Let's get down to it.
And we are as serious as a heart attack about this because the out front challenge to this homo-heresy has to be done. So come on Father. You know you're dying to. Come on."

For a more detailed lowdown PLEASE watch today's The Download on the issue - totally awesome and free for all to view today!

The snowball shows zero signs of slowing down. Fr. Martin has called in the troops to once more target Church Militant as "cyber bullies" because they uphold Catholic teaching and call out Catholic clergy who reject Catholic teaching. Go figure!

LaCroix International: The Worlds Premiere Independent Catholic Daily has come charging into the fray to defend the heretical teachings Fr. Martin promotes and blame "cyber militants" and get this...Pope Saint John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI! 😄

Quote: These cyber militants are not alone. Rather, they are part of the “age of anger” from which the Catholic Church is not immune. These groups and individuals are particularly active and influential in the Catholic Church in the United States. Much of this is the result of more than thirty years of episcopal appointments under John Paul II and Benedict XVI, which recast the US episcopate in the image of the “cultural warrior”.
The bleeding hearts club continues with "the saga" of poor little LBGTQXYZ sodomy promoting priest Fr. Martin plight against these horrible mean cyber "neo-Nazi" 😏bullies...
Quote: "The saga of Fr Martin indicates several important things. First, it shows that these fringe groups are small but not that marginal or unrepresentative of a particular kind of American Catholicism. Just two months ago, critics of the now well-known article by Antonio Spadaro SJ and Marcelo Figueroa in the Vatican-vetted Jesuit-run journal La Civiltà Cattolica said the authors had exaggerated the importance of groups like Church Militant. But the cancellation of Fr Martin’s talks confirms that these groups have power in the Church and can influence important institutional decisions. It is interesting to read the La Civiltà Cattolica article synoptically with its criticisms two months after its publication – that is, after the neo-Nazi and white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia and this latest campaign against Fr James Martin."

HAHAHAHAHA! 😁 Who in their right minds can take these people seriously? These mental midgets are a sandwich short of a picnic!

The Catholic Church says homosexual relationships can NEVER be supported, yet Fr. James Martin publicly supports them! By his own words he opposes Christ's Holy Catholic Church.

Who in the Church is calling out these errors? Cardinal Dolan? Nope.

Pope Francis? Nope. Heck, he promoted him!

So that it's left to good, decent Catholic people like the folks at Church Militant to point out the obvious. And for that, they are called "cyber bullies" and "fringe" group!

There are better names for Catholics like this in our Church's history who stood up against heresy and wayward clergy.

Martyrs and Saints.

These are the types of people Our Lord will say "Well done, good and faithful servant" to upon their Judgement.

Those of Fr. James Martin and ilk will be getting a refresher course from the Gospel of Matthew.
Matthew 7:21-23Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
21 Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

Fr James Martin on men kissing men at Mass

Fr. James Martin: "I always say that LGBT people have more faith than straight people because of that. I mean imagine you, what you have just described is really interesting Brandon. You have internalized rejection already. You don’t even need to be told that you’re rejected in the Church, you’ve internalized it and that’s very sad. A lot of the people that Jesus came into contact with did the same thing. Think of like the woman with the hemorrhage who doesn’t even feel worthy to stand up and greet him, she reaches down and touches the hem of the garment; or the Samaritan women who comes to the well at noon in the heat of the day because, we think, she’s been married five times and she’s probably embarrassed. Maybe people didn’t know enough to tell her you’re not welcome to come out at the regular time when the other women come; she comes because she is embarrassed and she kinda internalized that and it’s sad. So I hope in ten years you will be able to kiss your partner or soon to be your husband. Why not? What’s the terrible thing?"

Fr. James Martin is a disaster. I honestly don't know if my anger at this priest leading people toward Hell is stronger than my pity for him. It used to just be anger I felt for what Fr. James Martin has been doing, but over the last several weeks I have been reading on a single topic: HELL.

And what is awaiting people, specifically priests in Hell is absolutely TERRIFYING.

I would love to hear Fr. Martin speak about Hell. I wish to know what his thoughts are on the subject. Who does he think goes to Hell? What does he think Hell will be like for the damned? Does Fr. James Martin worry he might be headed for Hell because he opposes the Catholic Church's teaching on homosexuality and gay unions?

I'd honestly like to know.

He seems to be carefree about his opposition to the Catholic Faith. I fear for his soul. Truly I do.

"O, how great is the priest!...If he realized what he is, he would die."
-St. John Vianney-

I can't help but think, how he (and others like him) must break Our Lady's heart, because they are failing so miserably at their primary duty...saving souls for Christ.
Lord Jesus, we your people pray to You for our priests. You have given them to us for OUR needs. We pray for them in THEIR needs.
We know that You have made them priests in the likeness of your own priesthood. You have consecrated them, set them aside, annointed them, filled them with the Holy Spirit, appointed them to teach, to preach, to minister, to console, to forgive, and to feed us with Your Body and Blood.
Yet we know, too, that they are one with us and share our human weaknesses. We know too that they are tempted to sin and discouragement as are we, needing to be ministered to, as do we, to be consoled and forgiven, as do we. Indeed, we thank You for choosing them from among us, so that they understand us as we understand them, suffer with us and rejoice with us, worry with us and trust with us, share our beings, our lives, our faith.
We ask that You give them this day the gift You gave Your chosen ones on the way to Emmaus: Your presence in their hearts, Your holiness in their souls, Your joy in their spirits. And let them see You face to face in the breaking of the Eucharistic bread.
We pray to You, O Lord, through Mary the mother of all priests, for Your priests and for ours. Amen.
Pray for Fr. James Martin and other priests. Their souls need saving too!

Church Militant is so mean!

Poor befuddled heretical Fr. James Martin is the victim of those bullies at Church Militant who pointed out his heretical speech and got the wheels turning for numerous speaking engagements to be terminated. *woohoo*

Fr. James Martin has for years been a cheerleader for gay causes, particularly gay marriage,
Quote: "Referring to an active homosexual friend in a same-sex marriage, Martin said, "I have a hard time imagining how even the most traditionalist, homophobic, closed-minded Catholic cannot look at my friend and say, 'That is a loving act, and that is a form of love that I don't understand but I have to reverence.'" [Youtube video of Fr. Martin praising his friends gay "marriage" and the need to "reverence" that relationship: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=55&v=GHpKah-Kx-A ]

...even though the Catholic Church is crystal clear that NO Catholic can EVER support gay unions (no such thing as a gay "marriage" regardless of what society says).
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, 141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." 142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
While Fr. James Martin supports gay pride parades and tells Catholic they must have "reverence" for gay marriages, Christ's Holy Catholic Church says otherwise. Both cannot be correct.

Church Militant has pointed out this obvious basic fact on numerous occasions and finally people are demanding their Catholic institutes stop inviting clergy who speak heresy.

And of course, that has Fr. Martin playing the victim on social media as his ignorant groupies swoon and rage at the injustice of it all! Quick, open up more safe spaces with coloring books, bubbles and puppies, lots and lots of puppies!

Get out the Kleenex...

Most of the people commenting seem to be confused Catholics who don't know the Church's teaching on homosexual unions or Catholics who reject Church teaching in favor of following Fr. Martin on his bridge to Hell.
Like "BroMark"...

But then you get others like Amy Athene who from her Twitter page appears to be indicating she is of the Jewish faith...

...yet she says this...

This poor creature is completely backwards. What "church" is heeding "extreme hate"? And where does she get the idea that Church Militant pointing out the Teachings of Christ's Holy Catholic Church constitute any sort of "hate" at all? The catechism says what it says, either you believe it or you don't. Church Militant happens to believe the Teachings of the Catholic Church, and this woman (among others) labels them the "extreme" haters for it. While we've got Fr. James Martin rejecting Christ's Holy Catholic Church's teaching (#2357) that clearly states we can NEVER support homosexual unions in favor of telling people he has "reverence" for gay unions.

The hatred is not coming from Church Militant for speaking the authentic truth of the Catholic Faith. Rather, the hatred is coming from Fr. James Martin who is speaking with the serpent's tongue leading people out of the Truth and along his bridge to Hell.

In Christ,

The True Church of Jesus Christ vs false churches

Which is the True Church of Jesus Christ?

"Among the religious communities which all claim to be considered the true Church, it is of the highest importance to distinguish the one which speaks truly from the rest who are deceived.

Our Lord gives us in His Gospel an infallible means, a sure and evident sign by which we may recognize His Church.  And is it not an historical fact, clear as the day, and quite beyond the reach of contradiction, that the one Catholic Apostolic Roman Church is founded upon St. Peter, the first Bishop of Rome, the first Pope?

Therefore all other Churches, whatever they may be, are false Churches, which do not come from God, and do not lead to God, but conformity with the divine institution.

Therefore every true-hearted and truth-loving man, who has the fear of God before his eyes, is bound by his conscience, so soon as he shall be convinced of error, to go out from that false Church, in which he has had the misfortune to be born, and enter, obedient to the voice which calls him, into the true fold of Jesus Christ, which is the Catholic Church.  And if he has the happiness to be born a Catholic, he should thank God for it every day of his life, and should be ready to suffer all things, even death, rather than fail, under any circumstances, in obedience to the Pope.

Nothing is easier than to know if you belong to Jesus Christ and to His Church.  You only need to know which Church has the Pope for its Head, and then to enter into this Church. It is a test which requires nothing but simple reason, and which is open to the whole world."

Beatification of Father Stanley Rother broadcast on EWTN

EWTN To Broadcast Sept. 23 Beatification of
Fr. Stanley Rother, First American-Born Martyr

Irondale, AL (EWTN) – EWTN Global Catholic Network will broadcast the “Beatification of Servant of God Fr. Stanley Rother live from the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK at 11 a.m. ET, Saturday, Sept. 23, with an encore at midnight.

The beatification will be co-hosted by Fr. Christopher Brashears from the Diocese of Oklahoma, where Fr. Rother was born, and Fr. Charles Connor, STL, Ph.D. Father Connor not only teaches at Mount St. Mary’s, the Seminary which Fr. Rother attended, but also hosts EWTN’s upcoming documentary, “Fr. Stanley Rother – American Martyr.” To understand why Fr. Rother is being beatified, tune in to this important documentary, which premieres on EWTN at 1 p.m. ET, Monday, Sept. 18, and encores at 8 p.m. ET, Friday, Sept. 22, the night before his beatification. (Find EWTN at www.ewtn.com/channelfinder.)

Father Rother is one of many priests, sisters and lay people from the then Diocese of Oklahoma City and Tulsa who responded to now Pope St. John XXIII’s call for missionaries in South and Central America. While his path to the priesthood wasn’t easy, he made it through Mount St. Mary’s and, after a few parish assignments, Father Rother signed himself up for a mission in southwest Guatemala.

He arrived in Guatemala in 1968, where he was beloved. There, it wasn’t his knowledge of Latin that mattered, but his knowledge of Spanish and the local dialect, which allowed him to say Mass and broadcast radio programs in the local language, and his expertise in farming allowed him to help the locals plow their fields.

Father Rother loved his work, however, during his 13 years at the mission, the political situation became more and more dire. A catechist he knew well was kidnapped, tortured and killed. Priests with whom he worked were assaulted and some were killed.

Father Rother eventually found himself on a death list. He returned home for a bit to visit his family and to pray about whether the Lord wanted him to remain in Guatemala.

Most Rev. Harry J. Flynn, D.D., Former Rector, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, said Father Rother told him, “If I stay there and speak, I will be deported or killed.” However, after much prayer, Father Rother would tell the Rector: “I know what I must do.”

Father Rother returned to the mission where he was killed in the early morning hours of July 28, 1981 by two shots to the head.

In making his decision to return to Guatemala, Father Rother said: “A Shepherd should be with his people,” and “We are ordained not for ourselves. We are ordained for God’s people and we become the servants of God’s people.”

His body lies in Oklahoma, but as the documentary declares, “his heart is enshrined in the church of Santiago Atitlan and lives on through the lives of his parishioners.” Don’t miss EWTN’s documentary for the full story or the beatification, which assures us that life is never over, it simply changes.

EWTN Opens Studio in the United Kingdom

EWTN Global Catholic Network Opens U.K. Studio
Facility Located at Historic Walsingham Site

Irondale, AL (EWTN) – EWTN Global Catholic Network has opened its first studio and office in the United Kingdom. The facility is located in a converted home in the historic Village of Walsingham, north of London. The town is the home of one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Europe, the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, which dates to 1061. The formal dedication took place on Tuesday, August 29 in a ceremony attended by EWTN Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw; Monsignor John Armitage, Rector of the Shrine; and the Most Reverend Alan Hopes, Bishop of East Anglia.

“This is a particularly important step for the continued development of EWTN in the U.K.,” said Network Chairman and CEO Michael P. Warsaw. “This new facility will allow us to greatly expand our capacity to produce programming for our European channels as well as to more easily incorporate content from the U.K. into our other channels around the world.

“It is also appropriate that this new facility is located just steps from the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, which for centuries has been one of the most important centers of Catholicism in Britain. Every year hundreds of thousands of people come to Walsingham on pilgrimage,” said Warsaw. “I'm very happy that EWTN now has a presence in this extraordinary place and can share what happens here with our audience around the globe.”

The three-story building named "Annunciation House" contains EWTN’s studio and a street-level reception and welcome center that introduces the Network to visitors. The facility allows Shrine pilgrims to enjoy clips from EWTN’s most popular television shows, original films, documentaries and more.

In addition to producing programs with leading Catholics from across the U.K., Warsaw said EWTN hopes to form a strategic collaboration with the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham that will help the Shrine carry out its mission to evangelize.

In a letter of congratulations read at the dedication, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster and President of the Bishops Conference of England and Wales, wrote: “Over the last 950 years Walsingham has been a place of pilgrimage, proclaiming the joy of the Annunciation; in this new chapter of its history, I welcome the opportunity for the Shrine and EWTN to work together as servants of the New Evangelization.”

Shrine Rector Monsignor John Armitage noted that “Walsingham is very much the crossroads of the Catholic Church in England. The Church needs to be at the crossroads, particularly an organization in communications. So we are delighted as a Shrine to be able to welcome EWTN to come here as an organization in their own right, but at this place where so many pilgrims come from all over the world.”

EWTN transmits dedicated television and radio channels for the U.K. and Ireland. Those services are available on the Sky satellite platform, cable and video streaming platforms throughout the region. The Network also transmits two additional television channels for the European continent.

The project in Walsingham was made possible through the work of Saint Clare Media-EWTN, Ltd., the Network's not-for-profit affiliate in Britain. That entity conducts marketing, fundraising, and program production for the EWTN U.K. television and radio services, as well as the creation and distribution of news content in collaboration with EWTN's global news outlets.

Pope Francis secure behind his walls

While Pope Francis declares anyone who owns guns and dares calls themselves "Christians" are in fact hypocrites ...

...and tells other nations not to build walls for security because they aren't Christians either, he sits safely behind his huge walls...

People waiting outside Vatican City Wall
...while his personal well armed Swiss Guard protects him.

We all pray the day never comes when any of our popes are attacked or killed, but the fact is, more likely than not an attack will come. As long as the demonic theology of Islam continues, Christians will be under threat.
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - It is perhaps "only a matter of time" before Rome is hit by a Barcelona-style attack but security forces are ready in case the Vatican is targeted, the head the Swiss Guard has said.
Security has been stepped up at religious sites throughout Italy, including at the Vatican, since last year, when a truck driven by a suspected Islamist militant killed 86 people in the French city of Nice.
Barriers and police and army vehicles have been placed around St. Peter's Basilica to make it harder for a vehicle to gather speed in an attack such as the one last week in Barcelona, which killed 13 people.

What Christ's Holy Catholic Church once taught about Islam...

Fifth Lateran Council 1512-17 A.D
SESSION 12 - 16 March 1517
We are suitably carrying out the duty of our office when we renew again that reform of the whole church and its affairs which we have accomplished with profit; when we plan to apply suitable remedies for the unchallenged observance of the reform and to make provision for cathedrals and metropolitan churches so that they may no longer be without their pastors; and when we supervise these remedies with ever-present attention and untiring efforts, by means of which we may be able to render the Lord's flock, which has been entrusted to our care, acceptable and submissive in the sight of the divine majesty. Our aim is also to crush the Turks and other infidels standing firm in the eastern and southern regions. They treat the way of true light and salvation with complete contempt and totally unyielding blindness; they attack the life-giving cross on which our Saviour willed to accept death so that by dying he might destroy death, and by the ineffable mystery of his most holy life he might restore life; and they make themselves hateful enemies of God and most bitter persecutors of the christian religion. Strengthened by defences not only spiritual but also temporal, we may be able, under God's guidance and favour, to oppose the bitter and frequent sallies by which, in wild rage, they move savagely amidst christian blood.

...is long gone now. Those teachings went out the window with the spirit of Vatican II

The lets all be friends and kiss the demonic Koran book of lies approach hasn't worked either.

For centuries Islam has wanted to kill Christians. Nothing has changed except the Catholic Church's teaching on Islam. Hold to the old authentic Faith my friends! Kissing demonic books and trying to befriend people who are plotting how to remove your head from your body is not the way to go! Reject the spirit of Vatican II nonsense and trust in the authentic proven teachings of Christ's Holy Catholic Church.

God help us!

In Christ,
